XPRESSTRADE EXPANDS ONLINE FUTURES BROKERAGE TO 24 HOURS
Chicago, IL (November 22, 1999) XPRESSTRADE, LLC, the Internet-based futures brokerage firm headquartered in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Center, announced this morning that it has expanded its trading services for self-directed futures and options traders to 24 hours per day.
Prior to today, XPRESSTRADE offered online futures trading during Regular Trading Hour sessions at U.S. exchanges. With the introduction of expanded service hours, customers will now be able to participate in evening trading sessions at U.S. futures exchanges. Unlike the open-outcry, pit-style trading at U.S. futures exchanges during the day, evening trading takes place on electronic order-matching platforms such as Globex2, Project A, and Access.
XPRESSTRADE Principal Marcia Cremin noted that, "In the futures markets, timing is everything, and when a significant economic report or political event causes the markets to move after the close of Regular Trading Hours, having access to the overnight trading sessions is critical. And, when the hours most convenient to yousay, midnight to six in the morningaren't necessarily the most convenient for a conventional broker, XPRESSTRADE will be there with 24-hour Internet trading services."
XPRESSTRADE places one of the futures industry's most powerful arsenal of tools and servicesincluding Internet trading, real-time quotes/charts/news, and marked-to-the-market account informationat the fingertips of self-directed futures and option traders, thereby empowering them and giving them unparalleled convenience and control. XPRESSTRADE has created a secure, reliable, personalized trading environment that requires no additional software and that is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere on the globe. Because of efficiencies related to its all-electronic business model, XPRESSTRADE offers one of the lowest commission rate structures in the futures industry.
XPRESSTRADE is registered with the National Futures Association as an Introducing Broker and is guaranteed by ADM Investor Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Archer Daniels Midland Company, one of the world's largest processors and marketers of agricultural commodities. ADM has been a Chicago Board of Trade member since 1927 and is a Fortune 100 Company, with 1998 sales of $16.1 billion and shareholders' equity of $6.5 billion.
