Specifically, we utilize three different security mechanisms:

• Firewall Protection

  XPRESSTRADE'S first line of defense is our firewall, a device designed specifically to restrict outsider access. Our firewall is several layers thick, each with unique security mechanisms, yet this system is totally transparent to our clients.

• Data Encryption and Authentication

  All online transactions and communication between XPRESSTRADE and its customers over the Internet are encrypted and authenticated by a Stronghold Web server utilizing Apache, the leading technology for Web security. When you access our site using Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer browser software, the "key" symbol in the lower left corner of the screen indicates private, confidential communications between us through server authentication and data encryption.

• Password Protection

  The final line of defense? Every new XPRESSTRADE account is assigned a unique user ID and a temporary password. After you have logged into the private side of our system for the first time, you're required to select your own permanent, private password. No individual associated with XPRESSTRADE will ever ask you to reveal your password, and you should never reveal this password in any communication with XPRESSTRADE. To maintain the highest level of security, you must never share your password with anyone (you're responsible for the confidentiality and use of your user ID and password). Should you desire to change your password at any time, you'll be able to do so online, quickly and easily.

   

  Important Security Note: XPRESSTRADE has never experienced any security breach. However, as confident as we are in the combination of security technologies we use, there can be no guarantee that advances in computer capabilities, new discoveries in the field of cryptography, or other events or developments will not result in a compromise of the technology or algorithms used by XPRESSTRADE to restrict access by unauthorized users and maintain secure communications with clients. But you can be sure that we'll explore and incorporate into the XPRESSTRADE system effective new security technologies as they become available in the future.
